 ‘Faith on the Edge - An Evening with Bear Grylls’
Come and hear Bear Grylls talk about his LIFE and his FAITH at The Middle Brook Centre on Friday 23rd April at 7.30pm. Tickets £10 each – call 01962 840800. You might even get a chance to ask him what some of those things he eats actually taste like!!
Who is Alpha for?
Alpha is for anyone who wants to investigate Christianity, and also for new Christians and newcomers to the church. Many people have questions about the meaning of life such as, If God does exist why is there suffering?, Isn't Christianity about blind faith, where is the evidence? Whatever your questions the Alpha course is for you. The Alpha Course provides an opportunity to explore the meaning of life and the Christian faith in a relaxed, friendly environment.
What's involved?
Each evening consists of a meal, followed by a short talk, covering topics such as 'Who is Jesus?', 'Why did Jesus die?', 'How can we have faith?', 'How does God guide us?' and 'How do I pray?' After the talk there is opportunity for small group discussion about the evening's topic and any other questions you may have - no question is too simple or too hostile!
When?
The next Alpha Introductory Evening is on Tuesday 4th May 2010 at 7.30pm at the Middle Brook Centre, with live music, a meal, a short introduction to the course and feedback from previous guests. The Alpha evening course will begin the following week on Tuesdays 7.30-9.30pm, starting 11th May.
